Daylight Saving Time: Don't Forget to Spring Forward!

Thanks to watching many Swagbucks videos over and over (and over and over) I learned from one of their Swag Gab episodes that though most people call it Daylight Savings Time (with an S), it is actually called Daylight Saving (no S) time! No matter what it is called, I do not like it not one little bit. Ok, maybe I like it after I get used to it. But until then, I am going to be grumpy!

Seriously though, why do we still abide by this? It's not like we don't have electricity. And most of us aren't farmers who need that extra hour to get the harvest in....

If you want to know about the history of DST, you can find it on the web because I'm seriously saving up on my energy since we have to turn our clocks forward Sunday. :)

  2. Time to spring forward, yay! I'll gladly take an hour less sleep if it means spring is coming.

  5. We don't have DST here in the Philippines and I'm really curious how it works.

    1. I'm pretty sure it was started as an energy conserving thing so we would have more daylight hours to work in since the sun stays out longer in the spring and summer. But now it just makes people tired from losing an hour of sleep!

  6. Thank you for reminding me--I tend to forget (on purpose I think) Of course the computer and TV change all by themselves so--oh well.

  7. Hmm I always used the S too.

This is the first year I'm excited to lose an hour of sleep. My dog has been getting up an hour early for a few months. Hoping this will fix her internal clock :)
